Technology is lousy with acronyms (LWA). And it’s only getting worse. My kids (KIDS) have started talking in instant message shorthand (IMS) and, as the resident geek (RG), I’m supposed to know what they are saying. But as I always say to them when they ask me what an arcane English word means, when in doubt, look it up (WIDLIU). And here is the dictionary for technology terminology, IM shorthand, and acronyms: Netlingo. Even if you aren’t a nerd without a life (NWAL) you can at least communicate with one.

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article Language Evolving at the Speed of Light (SOL), but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
