Welcome to October and Breast Cancer Awareness month—perfect timing for a gadget case giveaway.
It takes strength to survive breast cancer. And in honor of the amazing strength of women, Otterbox has launched a special line of its strong iPhone and iPod cases in Pink and is donating 10% of the purchase price “to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade to support access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer, with a focus on the medically underserved.”

My favorite cousin died of breast cancer and she was only 50 years old. This year I’ve been blogging every day about “pink” products that give back to breast cancer research and support groups, and I think lots of these limited edition items will make great holiday gifts “for the girls.” It is so important raise awareness and support and together we can possibly wipe out, or at least mostly eliminate, this awful disease! Thanks for supporting the cause as well!

In addition to money going to this great cause, I like the bright pink b/c I can find it in the mess that is my purse or laptop bag. Not a big fan of the plain black one I bought. Save the boobies!
Wow, the number of people involved in raising awareness about Breast Cancer this year is amazing. Having spent time in a county hospital for several years now and seeing the horrible consequences of lack of screening and ineffective treatment of this disease, I am glad that so many are working to change that!

Hey Christina — As a breast cancer survivor, I figure I’m already pretty #$%^(*! educated about the disease, and have done my own personal 1-year marathon for the cause. However, I like the pink IPOD case! And I appreciate friends, relatives and loved ones walking, writing, talking, donating, and giving away lovely free things, all in the interests of eradicating this nasty disease. Thanks! I agree with Elizabeth, it’s awesome that pink is so easily recognizable with the cause. It’s important to me since breast cancer has slammed my family pretty hard.
I love that Breast Cancer Awareness has become such a huge thing! People know instantly what that pink represents and I think it’s wonderful!
